I was born in Australia 🇦🇺, raised in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰, and I now live in the United States 🇺🇸.

I’ve worked in start-ups, in-house marketing departments, multinational ad agencies, and I’ve done a good bit of freelance in between. I can speak two languages fluently, and I hope to learn a third someday. Over the last decade or so, I have had the privilege of collaborating with clients and partners ranging from Fortune 200 Brands to underground heavy-metal bands, to wellness coaches.

“One pilgrim alone is merely a zealot.
Two pilgrims together, that’s a pilgrimage.”

Approach:

Ask Questions

I approach every project with a student mentality. I ask questions–a LOT of questions. I do this to glean as much as I can because no one knows your business better than you. And in order to do my best work, I need to learn from you.

Immersion

When time and budgets permit, I will do my best to immerse myself in your business/product to experience it as one of your customers or stakeholders would. This means, with your permission, I will use your product, conduct anonymous (if possible) site visits, and experience what you offer from within. For example, when I designed the Fisher Center identity sytem, I sat inside the performance venue for many hours, taking pictures and sketching ideas. After over a decade of design, I find my best work happens when I am able to immerse myself into the work.

Design

Lastly, armed with all that I have learned through conversations, research, workshops, and immersion, I outline a strategy and I get to work on unearthing the best design solutions for you.
